Subscription & billing

How do I restore my Pro subscription on a new iPhone?

Open the app, go to Settings > Current Plan, then tap Upgrade to Pro on the same screen. On the subscription screen tap Restore purchases at the bottom. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID that originally purchased Pro.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iOS subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by AI Life OS. Open iOS Settings > your Apple ID > Subscriptions > AI Life OS > Cancel. Your Pro features stay active until the current period ends. We do not charge cancellation fees and we cannot cancel on your behalf - Apple handles all billing.

I was charged but Pro features are not active

First, tap Restore purchases on the subscription screen. If that does not work, the app may have signed you in with a different Apple ID than the one that paid. Open Settings > tap Run backend diagnostic near the bottom and email us the result.

Subscription pricing

Pro is USD $14.99 per month or USD $119.99 per year (save 33%). Local prices vary by region to match Apple's standard tier matrix; you will see your local price in your local currency on the subscription screen before you confirm.

My Daily Brief audio will not play (Free tier)

Free tier uses on-device Apple TTS. Check:

Pro tier uses Google Chirp 3 HD voice streamed from our servers and should play through any audio route.

The play button does nothing

The brief may have no readable text. Tap ↺ Regenerate on the Brief card to make a fresh one, then try play again.

How do I disconnect Apple Calendar or HealthKit?

In the app: Settings > Data Connections > tap the connected row > Stop using in app. This stops the app from reading new data immediately.

To fully revoke the permission at the iOS level: iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars (or Health) > AI Life OS > toggle off.

AI Memory is at the cap. How do I add more?

Free tier holds up to 5 entries; Pro holds 15. To add a new entry on Free, delete an old one (tap the X on any memory card) or upgrade to Pro.

News feed limit reached

Free tier supports 1 active feed; Pro supports 3. Tap the existing feed and toggle it inactive to swap, or upgrade to Pro.

Daily chat messages used up

Free tier allows 15 messages per persona conversation per day; Pro allows 50. The counter resets at midnight in your local timezone.

Privacy & account

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings > Privacy > Delete account & data. You will be asked to confirm twice. This wipes your memories, briefs, news feeds, doctor prep sessions, and revokes AI consent. The action is irreversible and immediate.

What data does AI Life OS collect?

See our full Privacy Policy. Summary: account email, AI memory entries you type, calendar event titles (read-only), aggregated HealthKit stats (no raw samples leave your phone), news feed URLs, home city, and your Apple subscription receipt. We never sell your data and we never permit our AI providers to use it for training.

Where is brief audio generated?

Free tier brief playback runs entirely on-device using Apple's built-in text-to-speech voices - no audio is generated in the cloud and no microphone access is required. Pro brief audio is generated server-side by Google Cloud Text-to-Speech (Chirp 3 HD voices) using only the brief text - your voice is never recorded by the app.

AI Personas

Are AI personas a replacement for therapy?

No. AI Life OS personas are journaling and reflection partners for creative writing, decision-making, and end-of-day reflection. They are not therapists, doctors, lawyers, or financial advisors and will explicitly say so if asked. If you are struggling with mental health, please reach out to a qualified human professional. What is the crisis safety layer?

Every message you send to a persona is scanned server-side for language suggesting self-harm, suicidal ideation, or imminent danger before it reaches the AI. When that signal is detected, the app shows a hardcoded crisis-resources card (988 in the US, Lifeline 13 11 14 in Australia, Samaritans 116 123 in the UK, 9-8-8 in Canada) instead of an AI reply. The card surfaces regardless of which persona is selected.

How do I delete a persona conversation or memory?

Open the Chat tab, swipe a conversation left, and tap Delete. Per-persona memory facts (third-person summaries the AI extracted to remember you across sessions) live in Settings > Privacy > Persona memories where you can review or delete any individual fact, or wipe the entire pool for a given persona.

Doctor Prep

Why does Doctor Prep say "Not enough wearable data"?

Doctor Prep needs at least 10 days of HealthKit data from at least 2 sources (steps + sleep + heart rate). Wear an Apple Watch or similar device for 2 weeks before your visit, or tap Try with sample data to see how the feature works.

Is Doctor Prep medical advice?

No. AI Life OS is a wellness preparation tool, not a doctor. The patterns shown are statistical observations from your wearable data and the questions are prompts for your visit - not diagnoses or treatment recommendations. Always consult a licensed physician for medical concerns. In an emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.
